Should i remove or leave young growth on bareroot rose

    So, of the two, I fully removed all the wispy growth from the Paul's scarlet. It has shown no sign of life since, it must be 4 weeks or so now? The other, a white florabunda, I removed all new weak growth except for one. This one has now started producing new decent looking leaves, but no new buds either. How long do I give it?

    They've got to get some good root growth established before that can support new top growth ............ I know it's hard but the most useful thing a gardener can cultivate is patience image

    paul's scarlet is a climber, I cannot see any supports in the pic image
