Bulbs in Lawn
WE had a big area of our garden cleared and turfed last Summer and it's been a great success. Now it's got to the Spring though and there are several patches of bulbs coming through which we really don't want.
Will mowing over them be effective or are more drastic measures required. I think the majority of them are like a bluebell type flower

Sounds as though you have chionodoxa growing in your lawn. Mowing will weaken the plants because they won't be able to photosynthesise efficiently with tiny leaf stumps. You could let them flower first and enjoy the beauty of spring blooms before attacking them.
I have a new bit of grass, It has Gladiolus byzantinus, 3 different crocus (several of eah), assorted alliums and Iris reticulata
In the sticks near Peterborough
