How to rejuvenate this

For two years my gaillardia has flowered non stop from late spring till November, It Has been lovely. It now needs help to rejuvenate it. It's the dwarf type. Do I plant it down in the soil by 12 inches.so only the ends show above soil level Cut off the leafy ends and put in compost Cut off ends and put in a glass of water Throw it out as done for? Cut all stalks down to soil level and hoPe it sprouts again. Your advice would be appreciated Thank you

They don't survive the winter here image

I would cut it back to about 4" above the crown when the worst frosts are over and give it a feed of Fish, Blood and Bone.

On I have my settings to advanced editor, but no .bar appears. Have taken photo ok
  • Thank you Dove, I will cut it down and put the ends in compost. Two options. It loves it's situation as it has flower buds on the ends already. Can't post a photo I'm sorry to say.
