I love them pansyface. We used to get a regular visit round the corner from a little flock of long tails. They're like little cheeky chappies all the time
Coming back from a walk in December, I sat for a few minutes at the side of the river in Glen Fyne, and a little flock of them swooped down onto a birch on the other side, then hurried past me on their way to another tree. Made me smile
Just saw your post Tetley - you're right but the OP said slim, so I ruled out the long tails!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Sat here in the office and my colleague who has also spotted them has said that it looks almost spot on!! Although ours from memory seemed whiter - hopefully on next filling up the feeder they visit us again and we will be taking the phone to catch a picture......
I'm sure that's what they are, Stilllearning. Colours of birds can be very deceptive depending on the light and whether the sun is behind or in front of the bird. Quite common on feeders.

Certainly won't be Snow Buntings. Only seen in the mountains, and winter visitors.
Lovely birds, saw a lot in the Arctic.

Spent ages watching a Hoopoe in Minorca, only to come back to UK and saw one on the common in Hampshire Pansyface. They get around
Coal tits have a black head with only a white stripe though - OP reports a white cap
The buntings are lovely aren't they doc? I've seen quite a lot of them.

A real beauty pansy, especially when there is a large "gang" of them, all flitting around, and chattering.

Ah - I see what you mean Tetley. I always think they look like a little mouse
I hope I can get some calling here again - may take a while, but the blackies were non existent and now I have plenty, so I live in hope

Lollipop birds
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
They tend to arrive in a little flock StillLearning - and they often don't stay long. They're very 'busy' - exactly as doc describes.
Hopefully you'll see them enough to watch how they behave - they really are the most gorgeous little birds
