    I thought it was from where they came out as frogs?

    That's what I thought Hosta - hence getting it as spawn.

    If you're right philippa - they'l need a couple of buses!  image

    We collected spawn from the local pond many years back when the girls were small. No ponds in the gardens here.  A couple of frogs did appear in the garden, over the next few years, and stayed around, so I'm hoping....image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Bees going for pulmonaria and primroses today.

    we saw what I was sure was a honey bee in front garden yesterday, it was stumbling about looking disoriented, hope it's ok, seen 1 ladybird, my tulips are all between 2& 5ins high already

    Dove, I seem to remember smuggling you some Ipswich ladybird larvae last year....good breeding stock in this town obviously! I've seen a few but not a group! Hope I didn't give you all the good ones! image

    Lovely to see you Wintersong, thanks for heralding in spring, it arrived here Sunday image I had the most fantastic day in the garden filling seed trays, it was winter again here today but I don't mind asking as my seeds grow and its sunny when I'm not working! image
