I'd go with centipedes of one sort or another - they moult their skins several times before they get to adulthood, then the adults moult about once a year.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Pansyface suggested Polydesmus angustus Steve, the colour looks closer than the banded centipede. I've also had this suggested off forum. Thank you both

We get wood lice under our plant pots and these are not the same - these seem to be twice as long and slightly lighter in colour.
They look like baby centipedes.
They don't curl up like woodlice either.
They either die under there or shed their skins and leave them behind, there are very dried up dead things left behind

millipedes or centipedes. Don't do any harm.
Not millipedes, not enough legs and the body segments are too big.
I thought centipedes.
Banded Centipede - Lithobius variegatus.
Does this look good?
I do like to know what I've got.

It's a millipede, most likely a Polydesmus spp from a quick look online. Centipedes only have one set of legs per segment.
