Says suitiable for containers looking at the recommended spacing assuming its a dwarf variety
Polka is certainly not a dwarf - I got loads of fruit from my three canes in the first year and they've multiplied in the years since.

Do you think the 18 - 24 inches apart is a blantant lie
I've just bought raspberry think it's called pation ruby beauty definitely for pots, only just got them, will see how they do
If you check out the link I posted and scroll down to the Garden Care section you'll see the RHS recommends planting about 45cm apart. = 18 inches approx.
I think I planted mine a couple of feet apart initially, although they've spread and joined up now.

Are Rasberrys a quick grower
rosemummy, I got Ruby Beauty last year, I'm very curious how they'll do too. So far they seem very happy in their pots. I'm not expecting much fruit this year, as the only growth from last year is a shortish stick on each of them. But they've already got plenty of suckers.
