Containerised roses

I bought two climbing containerised roses from garden centre of well known rose grower. They soil fell apart taking them out so might just as well have ordered bare root ones. At nearly £20 each feel I have been robbed. According to the garden centre they hav'nt had sufficient time to root over winter and that this was "standard practice"  Any comments please would be appreciated. Do you think Im being unfair?

if they're sold as " containeriesed" that's exactly what you've got.

If they had been labelled " container grown" that would be a different story.

Thanks  Hostafan1 will only buy bare rooted ones from now on. Wonder what other members think?
