Three cornered leek
in Plants
I have an area of three cornered leek under an apple tree, and I love it as it's edible, so I am not looking to get rid of it. But I would like the area to look a bit more interesting once it has gone over, a bit of a wild flower meadow look with bee-friendly plants would be good. But there isn't much bare ground at the moment - will it work if I just scatter some wildflower seed mix and try to ensure that they get to the ground between the three cornered leek?
Thanks

What about some hardy geraniums
You could use varieties that die down over the winter like G. phaeum so the alliums are visible, and I find G. phaeums self-seed happily so you'll only need a few and they'll spread around your tree, but they're not difficult to control.
This one's pretty

I have a bed of these over snowdrops. I started with one dark one and a white one and now have a whole spectrum of blues and mauves. They also mingle realy well with red campion and look lovely in the early part of the summer, though you would probably get a second show if you cut them back. I don't but there's still a few flowers to be found all through the summer.
I like that Buttercupdays
