16°, cloudy in Dordogne. Recently England has been warmer than here, but here is a place people come to for the sun. Not that I mind, I don't like it too hot.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

18C on the thermometer on the north wall of the house but it doesn't feel hat warm as it's cloudy.   Sunny and blue bits appearing tho so fingers crossed it stays warmish over the weekend.   Lots to do before we head across the Channel to Chelsea and Hyde Hall and Beth Chatto and a paint shop.

Need to decide what colour to paint the new wooden seats we've had cut for our black cast iron chairs.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

About 14 - 15 here - dry morning but raining this afternoon so no need to water this evening, but good slug weather again - oh dear....

You could paint your chair seat a nice uplifting colour - we painted our bench bright red - it certainly stands out and looks good against the green of the grass. However perhaps you prefer something alittle more subtle obelixx. Have a great holiday - it is nice to get away for a while and always nice to see your surroundings again with fresh eyes and new ideas.

Grey all day and cold and now we have rain and wind.    The mallards who've taken up residence will be happy but the smaller birds are keeping their heads down and wings dry.
