Must admit I don't like the plastic 'corset' but seems to make sense to avoid going through the same again (being able to simply lift the pot out will surely be much easier), unless the new 'straight pot' will eradicate that problem ?
About a year ago I posted our difficulties regarding removing a plant from a pot-bellied container, i.e. one with a 'waist-line'. I am guessing from your "was a bit of a struggle" that you suffered the same as we did...I, too, have learned my lesson and we are using 'a pot within a pot'. Well done!

Unless by 'corset' you mean the green plastic 'retainer' ??
yeah Dave, the usually have those in place when you buy them in flower to support the weight of the flower heads. No need for it now.
The pot within a pot I'm all in favour of.
They don't need staking Dave, I don't like the corset either.
