Sprouts are like any other brassica Ryan. They do need a long growing season but they're just like sowing any member of the cabbage family. I don't know where you are but it's going to be a cold spring which may last into April so rushing now to sow anything isn't advisable. Best tip I can give you is to keep an eye on long range weather forecasts. Having GH's filled with young plants and having nowhere to plant them is a nightmare trust me.
Thank you Dave Morgan I currently live in the south east of England where at the moment we are having fairly warm days but cold nights, is there anything I can sow now?

Wait until April then sow in the ground, when big enough transplant to where you want them to grow.
