Evergreen Shrubs

Hi there, Is anyone able to recommend a smallish (3m x 3m or narrower) evergreen shrub. I did think about Osmanthus x Burkwoodii, but living in Yorkshire I worry about the wind...I have read this shrub is not great with heavy winds. Thank you all in advance.

i was given an osmanthus last weekend, am i right in thinking its a slow growing shrub??
