Tidying!

I've asked on here on the past about putting some raised beds in along this south facing border of the garden. I think this will be a project for th future as I've got some other garden tasks first. In the meantime I want to tidy up that ugly bit where the grass is dead under the hedge. Would it make sense to edge the lawn with an edger so there's a clear and defined edge to the lawn?

Always - nothing looks worse than an untidy edge to the grass. Even if it hasn't been cut for a while, a neat edge will improve it enormously. image

It will also benefit the hedge to keep the area under it clear, unless you have a wildlife hedge where it benefits small creatures and insects to have leaf cover etc.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thank you people. I took a picture and forgot to add it to the post! Don't seem to be able to do it now on my phone. I shall edge my lawn then. Thanks
