Gladiolus

To kick start my Gladiolus. I was thinking about potting my bulbs up first now. And then transferring them in to the borders once they are a decent size. What do you think you wonderful garden lovers?. Has any one suffered big loses because of this rainy season we've had?. Sadly for me my pacific delphinums. Thankfully my tree peonie is showing signs of revival

Last year, I had some left in the ground from the previous year, I planted some in April, and the last lot at the beginning of June.  The last ones to go in nearly caught up the earlies. I had gladioli from August until late October. I don't think there is any point using up greenhouse space in potting them up unless you are desperate for early blooms.  Plenty of time for the weather and soil conditions to change.

  • I did it last year and it worked fine. Lovely blooms in late summer.

I'm doing it again those year, they're in my.conservatory.
