ID this plant please

It could be cherry laurel. Grows quite large with glossy green leaves. Often grown for hedging.

    Sorry, when I clicked on your pic to enlarge it it didn't enlarge but the leaves went shinier. There is nothing else in the photo to compare with for size, it's obviously smaller than I thought. It somehow looks familiar, but my mind has gone blank!

  • You don't say what size the leaves are, but don't think it is cherry laurel, that has leaves that are more pointed.Check out images of Buxus sempervirens maybe.

    PS You can make the font 'grow' by holding down the control button on your keyboard and rolling the mouse wheel forwards. Backwards shrinks it again.
