Wall basket ideas

Hi folks,

I'm in need of some advice please. I have a wall basket 14inches across, it's on an easterly wall so gets a little sunshine in the morning. It gets a fair amount of run off from the porch roof. My question is can I grow something like a fern in it or maybe some other shadey damp lover??

Please help.

Ivy at the front of the basket so you have something cascading over the edge.

Ferns would look great but I also had success with hanging begonias and impatiens which also don't mind the shade.

  • Thank you folks. Overwhelmed with the help. Your basker looks wonderful hazel. If I get close to that I will be happy. I mpay try the ivy Ceres I like that idea. And hanging begonias sound good too Jan73.

I fancy hanging begonias this year too, I've got my eye on some bright orange ones.
