Honeysuckle?

B3B3 Posts: 27,503

There's a plant winding its way through part of my garden.

It looks like a honeysuckle but it has pale yellowish/green oak shaped leaves.

Is it a honeysuckle , will it flower or do anything interesting?

No pic as it's awful cold out there.

In London. Keen but lazy.

Get your big coat on B3image

There are honeysuckles with wavy edged leaves, often some leaves as opposed to all leaves. A pics is really needed thoughimage

    Lonicera japonica?

So it's definitely a honeysuckle then.  Does japonica have oakey leaves sometimes?

If you google 'Lonicera japonica leaf' and look at images you'll see a wide variety of leaf shape.

I think it's L japonica, it's the most likely one. You may find you get less wavy leaves as the season progresses.

I will let it stay so long as it behaves itself. No flowers last year so I will see what to do to encourage them.

    Thanks chaps
