biofreak - as a long standing member of this forum, I would remind you that there is some history you are probably not acquainted with......just something to bear in mind before passing judgment.
Having said that, I could imagine no more suitable for a lunar project than Mr H.
Biofreak - I have to agree with David K on this one.
'Hortico' has used this forum under a few different names and has often asked contributors to provide additional personal information. He has, in the past, suggested that members post photos of themselves, use their proper names and give more information generally about themselves. He has asked at least one member for their home address in a PM.
He has been reminded on a number of occasions that the majority of contributors are uncomfortable posting personal information on a website that can be viewed by anybody - anywhere in the world and yet he is asking for information again. Nothing sinister in this particular request - but why make it at all?
Most people's postings give an indication of their experience - often by the details they either supply or (more often) omit when requesting help - or by a straight - "I'm a complete novice.."
It is certainly helpful to have a rough idea of geography / soil conditions etc when trying to help solve a member's problems but - to be honest I would find it more useful if it was contained in the posting - I don't usually bother to go back and look at the Personal Profile.
There is absolutely no need for any unpleasantness towards Hortico here - and I, for one, am more than happy to see him posting again - but he has to remember some lessons from his previous outings on the forum.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I must admit that I asked why people don't post photos. Merely because I quite like knowing who I am talking to, at least by face. Just in case I run into one of them at the garden centre! Then I can talk to them or hide from them as appropriate!

You are quite right Frank - life is for enjoying - it's not a rehearsal. Good to hear you are still making the most of it!
