My package arrived yesterday tooimage. Beautifully secure, with a clever system of snug retaining pots, and notched cardboard boxes to keep it all upright and in place

Plants look very healthy - quite big and good glossy leaves.  I have given them a drink and am letting them drain.  Later today I am going to pot them up into 1 ltr pots and grow them on in my cold GH - too many frosts forecast at the moment to risk them outside.

But delighted with the first part of the process - well done Sarah Raven image

Guess its now over to me, my skills and my garden conditions ....yikesimage

  • Yippee! Mine turned up today, thought I might have to wait until Mon as didn't get sent dispatch details...did get an email today with a free postage offer code though.

Nice 'big' 9cm plant but not pot bound. I've potted mine on and will keep it outside somewhere sheltered. Not sure where SR is but I presume in the south and the plant might be a little soft for up here.

Chicky and Victoria Sponge - glad yours arrived too. All looking good so far. Good consistency of quality then.

It s still in an unheated gh, having been potted on when I received it - was not planning on planting out til early May.  But I suppose you see them lots at Chelsea, which is not far away now.

How are the rest of you getting on ????

Mines looking very healthy and much bigger now but no sign of flowers yet. I put mine in the border pretty much straight away as its been quite mild and I don't have a greenhouse anymore image

I'm really impressed with yours though great job image
  • Wow Chicky, very impressiveimage

Just ran outside to check mine, nowhere near flowering but I wouldn't expect it to be. It had one night in the shed after it arrived and has been sat outside in a pot in its planting space while I waited to see where some bulbs and a geranium would come up.

It is flat and frozen this morning again but has been through several frosts and seems to be a tough plantimage

Wow Chicky! Your flower looks great! I've just nipped out to look at mine. It's been in the greenhouse up until last weekend when I popped it in a cold frame.

its got three flowers coming! Only small just yet but looks really healthy!  Its leaves are closer in colour to yours Victoria Sponge. Glad it's a tough plant. It'll need to be under my care!

im sure you'll get flowers soon Sophie. Must be the difference between it being inside and outside. Bet having it outside earlier will make for a stronger plant. Might pop mine in the border at the end of the month. The frost today has scared me off!

  • Mine came the same day as yours Tootles - I did post but something went awry image

It's been outside since it was potted up when it arrived - south-facing house wall.

Just popped out to have a look - the vague appearance of a flower bud image
