I now only grow most of my seeds in rice/yogurt pots, that way I only get a dozen or so of each plant and can grow lots of different ones. The only ones in trays are Lobelias and Petunias, you cant have too many of those.
Have you got lots of greenhouse space to keep your plants in when you have pricked out MAABOM.
I would agree with Logan about light levels, also be careful not to block the air vents, you could get damping off from too much moisture.
Lots of over enthusiasm this time of the year
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Doubting Thomasinas might think my Leaning Tower of Propagators isn't successful, herewith proof if proof be needed that my madness results in a plethora if not a myriad of seedlings.
aym280 - No, no electric propagation, just start all my seeds in 7cm pots, which I all too often over sow. Start them early, too early, then struggle to cope when I then prick them out into modules, 50 to a small propagator or 100 to the large ones you see in the pictures (one being a dodgy old electric propagator which alas no longer works), The bulk of the 500+ seedlings now precariously balanced on a mini greenhouse frame in my conservatory with an electric fan heater set to keep them at a cosy 11C. It was sunny today and they actually get a fair wodge of life giving light. see photo.
Hopefully my daughter will be able to take the 100+ agastache (and others I couldn't bring myself to despatch to the compost heap) to to pot on and sell from her plant nursery. (madness and love of plants in the genes).
The Heath Robinson warm windowsill - would give some nightmares!

Nature abhors a vacuum. I think we're all guilty of planting too many seeds aren't we?
200 zantedeschia anyone?
still only February hollie, bags of time yet
hollie , if you start too early, you tend to end up with lots of plants going leggy because it's too early to plant them outside.
