Toilet Roll Inners
In a reply to one of my posts a lady said she used them for starting off seeds and then planted the roll and seed straight into the soil but I cant remember what seeds / veg she was talking about

I use them for sweet peas and some edible peas. When you plant them make sure the cardboard is completely covered. If not , it acts like a wick and takes moisture from the ground.
Probably the reason for using them for sweet peas is because they are very deep rooted and they don't like the root disturbance involved with potting-on. So, by the same token I would say use them for any seed that fall into that category ie beans, peas etc.
I've never used them myself, but those who have seem to be concerned about white fungus that grows on the damp cardboard.....I can say, this does no harm to the seedlings.
I usually use them for runner and French beans; parsnips maybe too?
Hello , sweet peas , runner beans , French beans and last year , leeks which worked rather well , I am sure that there are other but can't think at moment
any things that has long roots and/or does't like being disturbed
Sweet peas, eating peas, sweet corn, runner beans, French beans and everything else suggested above
