  • Numbers 1 & 6, the catmint and the thrift, are widely available, and the alliums will be there in bulb catalogues. The RHS lists 37suppliers for the artemisia, 33 for the willowherb, (Chamaenerion) and only 5 for the valerian. You may still find the Chamaenerion listed under its old name Epilobium in some places.

I am somewhat dubious about the inclusion of the valerian to be honest. It is very easy to source for me, as it grows wild in places in my fields, (and as they are my fields I can move it if I wantimage)  but it seems to prefer cool and damp to hot and sunny (not that I ever get much of that!) and doesn't mind shade, which makes it different from the other plants in the border. After the first year, not sure how other plants would out compete the willowherb either, even if it is less vigorous than its pink counterpart.
