Gardeners World

I have just received my latest edition 25th. Anniversary GW which has helped me to plan my day tomorrow if it is raining yet again. Anyone sending away for the perennial offers - foxgloves, lavender, aqualigia etc?

They are one inch high. You might conceivably have a chance in sunny Guernsey of growing them to flowering size this year, but not a hope up here where I live. Plus I have enough lavenders for now, hundreds of lovely aquilegias and grave doubts that the foxglove will be a perennial. The much heralded Illumination Pink certainly wasn't for most people (though being in Guersey might help) . Could use some more echinaceas, but they are only the bog standard ones and they are a magnet for slugs and snails, so don't fancy my chances with ones that small. So no. But if you really want them and have the time and space to cosset them, it might be worth a punt for you. At least it is spring and you do live in Guernsey
I've just tried to purchase this offer, as want 3 out of the 4 plants to bring on.
Yet it seems to be trying to charge me £5.65 for the offer and another postage fee. I've had this before and had to call them up, does anyone else have this problem and know a way around it.
thank you.
Buttercupdays - you are right of course - they are only approx one inch high - and that has put a bit of a damper on the offer for me - I am know having second thoughts regarding the offer ....Peanuts3 I would have posted my order with a cheque for £5.65 and have not had any problems with ordering in this way in the past - never been asked for a postage fee as well. Sorry can't help any more than that.
