Each to their own I guess I've had visitors who, when we walked round my wild meadow areas full of 'weeds' and my overgrown jungle of shrubs(good for wildlife) were clearly wondering where the garden was, that I had talked of
Hosta - when I lived round the corner from here there was a terraced house which was owned by a lady who was fond of peroxide and a bit of leopard print.
The garden was full of tat and all the brickwork and concrete/masonry in the 'garden' was covered in that horrible reddish, slightly shiny paint - including the path. We all used to call it 'The Ponderosa'.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
My boyfriend always points out houses (especially bungalows) that have monkey puzzles planted right next to the house.....he's a gardener and there are some huge ones where he works, so it really bugs him!

she sounds " well classy" Fairy.
Have you seen houses where they paint the bricks shiny brown and then pick out the pointing in white paint? Why?
She was a shining example of class Hosta
We all got a good giggle on a daily basis - till she fell out with the husband and the house was sold to a normal person!

Denno, I'm sure in a warm loving way we all like to have a bit of a sneer at bad taste
