White Fungus??? Any Ideas?

image

Hi, I moved in to a new house 5 months ago and the flower beds in the back garden are covered in stones. I have been shovelling the stones today, in order to turn the bed in to a veg patch.

within the stones there is a white fungus, and its all over.  It has a mushroom smell to it. I'm finding it in clumps and string like.

can anyone help me identify the fungus?

is it harmful?

Is my veg patch plan still ok?

Impossible to ID from mycelium without DNA testing. Just be cautious and wash anything you grow. Most fungi are harmless but a few are poisonous. I don't think anyone has been poisoned by mycelium, but that is not to say it cannot contain toxins.
