Reclaimed chimney pot

I have acquired a reclaimed chimney pot which will look great in the garden, only problem is, it has been painted with a hideous terracotta masonry paint (very ginger) my question is, how can I restore it back to it's original colour? I was thinking Nitromors paint remover but wasn't sure on masonry, any other ideas?…
