    Hi folks image

Thought I'd share a trip to Hollywells Holywells park, Ipswich with you. I took the chap I support for a picnic and walk. I'd never been before and I've lived here 18 years! Its a magical place. image

Nut, I had no idea about the place, as the name suggests it is an area of natural springs that were part landscaped with a stately home. This is now gone but the conservatory remains which is lovely, as well as the stable block. Most of the park is wooded walks with the springs and pools running through the middle. Not a fake neat lawn type park, well worth a look image

I've lived a lot closer to Ipswich than I do now and I've never heard of that one

A pleasure Topbird image it was a real surprise for me! I'm not a fan of neat parks, like a bit of wilderness and nature. There is a wildlife area also which I didn't get to explore as I was forced by the chap I was supporting to spend time in the kids play bit, which has fantastic facilities. A enormous climbing frame with little hammocks and this water play area where jets arc out when kids stand on blue pads. They squeel with delight as did everyone watching. Also a cafe and in the stable block, young kids can dress up as house maids and stable hands as they have left the tack room and stable as it was with all the saddles and tack etc.

I did notice an abundance of horse tail throughout the park, but I think its pretty as long as its not in my garden! image

Looks as if Blickling bluebells are expected in May http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/blickling-estate/whats-on/festival-of-the-blues

What about sometime during the first or second week ...?

We're hoping to go away for a couple of nights 'some time' over the next 2 or 3 weeks but when will revolve around J's work roster and the weather - so is likely to be a fairly last minute decision.

If it's ok I'll let you all decide which day you want to go and then try to join you (our little break might be to N Norfolk  anywayimage )

Happy to offer Panda a lift if I'm going from home but obviously I can't promise at this stage.
