I did wonder about bergenia, but I thought that it wouldn't be looking like that at this time of year - still think quite mature Pak Choi is a possibility, if he's sown any there that is - snails like Pak Choi and bergenias, so that's no help - we need to look at what's underground ....

Looks like what is known as Elephants Ears,Has either pink or white flowers, hardy spreads slowly
