dogwood / roots

Hi there,

Trying to cover up the bins area for myself and my neighbour in front of the house. Would like to use dogwood but my neighbour is afraid the roots are too deep...what does anyone suggest? anyone ever digged up a dogwood `plant`?

Shall I have dogwood anyway? Any other plants that will give some interest... summer and winter?

Many thanks!

I can't see dogwoods causing any problems. Its not as if you are planting a row of horse chestnuts. There are so many gorgeous coloured dogwoods that you are bound to find something that will look amazing, and you can grow them in large planters if needs be.

Thx everyone! Feel confident now and will go ahead and get a Cornus Aurea image
