help something is chomping at new pear tree planted in may, there are some folded leaves with whitish web , have cut back to a new bud will that help

Don't bother cutting any of the pear tree - no need. Caterpillars will soon be gone.
thankhave another old pear tree and this has been great for 20 years didhave it on that and didnt want to infect it
