Can anyone help? I'm trying to find some cast paving slabs in riven weathered york in varying sizes and shapes to match and extend an existing path. May have been Bradstone, but I can't find a local stockist anymore. Am in Gravesend so could go in Kent or towards London for a supplier.
I have just come in from the garden and i thought I would see if any of his tv series was available, it should be it was quality stuff. Like others have said he was inspirational to me with his infectious enthusiasm. A celebrity who actualy deserved the title.
Being a new member of the site, I had only just read of the sad passing of Geoffey Smisth. He was indeed a true inspiration to many gardeners and he will be greatly missed. I think the BBC should consider running a series of his programmes-his advice and enthusiasm will hold dear for generations to come.
I really enjoyed Geofrey's programmes and wouuld like to see them repeated on television. He had such an affable nature and a really genuine quality about him. http://jonathanasmyth.blogspot.com/
thank you for the kind comments regarding my very, very favourite uncle. He was the very best and like so many, I would love to see him again on TV. He was just as you would expect, a perfect gentleman, who loved life to the full. We as a family miss him terribly but are so totally honoured to have been so close to him. God Bless Uncle Geoff. x x x x x x x
Thanks Judith. As your family will know, Geoffrey was a real inspiration to me as he was for millions of others. I was so fortunate to know him personally, and share several garden visits and walks with him. Our lives have all been enriched for knowing Geoffrey, and we miss him greatly.
I would also be delighted if the BBC did a re-run of the Geoffrey Smith gardening series and/or issued Geoffrey Smith's vegetable and fruit garden and world of flowers on DVD . They would make fantastic gifts for my family and friends Geoffrey Smith was such an inspiration If anyone knows where his videos could be purchased I would be extremely grateful as due to a theft I need to replace these valuable assets.
