Containing roots- any alternative to rootex bags?

hi there

I am after some material similar to rootex bags which will contain my roots.

does any other manufacturer make these other  than Rootex?

    i just cut up compost sacks and bury in the ground. i never  buy fancy items for gardening.

    when you say compost sacks- do you mean plastic ones  or those like rubble sacks from b n q and the like?

    I use the ones that I buy the compost in.

    any strips of firm plastic will do.
