Lou.....lawn weedkiller should work well but do not use glyohosate on any weed in the lawn. No matter how careful you are you will kill surrounding patches of grass.

The spot applicators work on plantains and the like, but I can't see how they would work on something with narrow leaves like allium triq.

Oh yes, I'm sure that it does work - what I mean is how the heck would you apply it and not get it on the grass without going totally bonkers and doing your knees in? It's bad enough crawling over the lawn applying it to plantains and hawkbit - I take it you do mean that gel stick stuff?
