    Yes - but you can prune them!

    I've done it frequently.  Scotland would be drowning under a sea of the damn things if we didn't image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    You "can" do lots of things, but whether they are advisable is another matter!!!

    Theres a thought forget flooding, Scotland is drowning under a sea of Rhodos, am I correct in thinking you are not a fan Fairygirl?

    No - I'm not a fan. Our conditions are perfect for them up here and they easily become thugs. I wouldn't get in my front door if I didn't keep hacking  back the one that's there every year. I'll probably take it out. When labels say 2 - 3 metres, you can add another 50% - at least. They make a good hedge if you have plenty of room, just make sure you have good hedgetrimmers  image

    Ponticum is another matter entirely. image
