Plum tree vs ants nest

We planted a plum tree on top of an ants nest (i know).

Can anyone tell me what problems yhis might cause? Should we try to evacuate the ants, if so how?

Thanks

Try turning a hosepipe on and flooding them out.  Or try ant powderin covered bait traps.

Silly question maybe, but have you noticed any problems? If not, why not just let the two of them get on with it?

You'll need to water a newly planted fruit tree regularly, and ants like dry soil - they'll move on image
