Hi can anyone identify the tree in the background behind the compost heap for me?
Looks like a Bloody Sycamore to me. I'd have it out!
The one behind what looks like bits of metal?
As steve says, sycamore
I've heard of Bloody Cransebill ( geranium sanguinium ) but Bloody Sycamore is a new one on me.
It's definitely not a sycamore as it hasnt had the seed pods
can we have a close up please
It looks like the sycamore in my garden that has been cut right back and is shooting up again, too young for seeds maybe.
What has it got in place of the seed pods. Those sort of details are useful for ID.
Are the trunks and the leaves in front of the trunks the same plant?
When was the photo taken? Are we looking at something with leaves on it now?
I agree with Peanuts. It looks like it's been mangled at some time, but not enough to kill it - sadly. Have another go.
my money's still on sycamore
I agree with nut, a Sycamore. It will only produce the seeds if it flowers and then the flowers get pollinated so lack of seed does not mean it is not a Sycamore.
