    Mine is exactly in that location philippa - and has grown all winter which is unusual. It's quite tough though - it's survived some freezing!

    It's a bit of a myth that it needs running water. If it's in a bucket or container of any kind, just change it now and again.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I wouldn't eat watercress from a pond.  Pond snails can carry liver flukes or other parasites. If you want it to eat, keep a bucket or tub of it.

    I use it to keep the pond clear - I don't eat it. If I wanted to, I'd probably keep it in a container. image

    I forgot I'd told you that trick philippa! It works brilliantly in a pond to keep blanket weed away. Even a small one which can heat up quite quickly, like my current one. Just chuck a handful in during spring when the water warms up.
