Overwintering Sweet Peppers.

in Fruit & veg
Has anyone kept sweet pepper plants over winter?
I have a sweet pepper "Snackbite" grown from seed last year. It flowered and fruited late. I picked the last fruit just after Christmas. It is in a 10 inch pot with 50/50 No3 and multi purpose. It has been in my conservatory since September and still has leaves. The top leaves look quite healthy but it is beginning to get infested with critters!
My question is: is it worth while trying to keep it going (will I get more/earlier fruits) or should I just kick it out and abandon it to it's fate?

Thanks philippa but excuse my ignorance "bump it up"??????
I have read some previous threads on sweet peppers but saw none that answered my question.
Pansyface, when you say "bumped it up" what does that mean?
Where am I looking? I've searched "sweet peppers" but this comes up with 188 threads. Do I have to read them all?!!! Sorry, but I'm not used to all this.
Pansyface, I've just spotted it!
. Many thanks. Off to bed now I think!
I picked the first ripe fruit from my overwintered Snackbite earlier this week. It was a little on the dry side but edible. Plenty more fruits to come so I'm hoping the rain of the last 2 days (and more to come tonight) will juice them up a bit.
They were talking about overwintering peppers on GQT last week and some had been kept going for several years, so will be trying again.
