  Can I use ash from my wood burning stove ( I burn paper, coal and logs) on the garden or in the compost heap. Can it be used generally or for certain types of plants.

  has anyone used mushroom compost on roses, as i have access to quite a lot, would the roses benifit.

  can anyone tell me how long it should take for horse manure to break down sufficently to use safely on the garden? It is warming up in the confines of my recycled pallets and kept under an old dogs duvet stapled inside black plastic bags!(I do hope this is the correct use of an exclamation mark)
