Are all or some of these dahlias suitable for growing in containers and, if so, what size container would you recommend?

You can grow all dahlias in pots Christine, a 12 inch pot or bigger is ideal although you can grow them in smaller. Just remember to feed and water them well as they're gross feeders. Oh and a cane for support for the taller varieties is a must.
they can become very top heavy so go for a heavy container.
