Bottom heat for cuttings?

Is it true that it speeds up rooting?

  • Depends on which cuttings sandyv but in general, commercial growers use bottom heat and misting for lots of types, especially clematis.  I have a heated bench and get great results (eg 100% for 12 viburnum cuttings last year) but you do have to watch for them drying out.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
