been using them for years a lady friend from bbc gardeners click told a few of us how to use news paper to make them with a small thin bottle like a herb bottle that you buy in shops cut to size. roll the paperi i n it it.fold in end still do it now after 8yrs and loo rolls ( a lady called shed sue ) we passed around idea.s around all the time like I am hoping this site is the same ps don't use for carrots or parsnip as you might stump ends sometimes
I have planted some sweet peas now, in November, as they are supposed to form stronger plants. Using toilet roll inners and have them on a windowsill. They have just germinated, so my question is do I put them I to a cold frame rather leave them on the windowsill, which will get warmer with the central heating. Any advice very welcome as this is the first time I have tried it. Thanks
Thanks so much, off to move them now. Also thanks for the links, virtually the same question as mine. I plan toplNt some up in about February and see whether there is a difference. Thanks again Fairygirl.
