I came across this last year when tidying up the borders and thought it was rather nice but in an awkward place so I replanted it and it has thrived. I'm wondering now if I did the right thing. In fact another similar one has appeared in another area of the garden.

Oh
Is it likely to bear fruit if I let it mature? I'd have to move it again though because I didn't think it would grow at the rate it has done - so it's not in the best place for a cherry tree. I hope that's what it is - that would be quite a pleasant surprise. Thanks nutcutlet.
with a seedling cherry you can't be sure of fruit worth having. Yours could be a seedling from any sort of cherry, eg. a wild one with tiny fruit
It's also a potentially large tree. .
