You can grow them up trellis or netting etc.by tieing the stems to the supports every few inches but the problem then is that you have to provide individual support for each fruit otherwise the whole thing usually comes crashing down to the ground when the fruits become heavy! Their normal habit is to creep along the ground so that's the best method if you have the space.
