especially as the " blue " roses we do have are A: not blue, and B; horrible ( IMHO )
    Devon.
  • Anyway, blue flowers under the UK's fairly blue light is unappealing...want a garden that radiates of warmth and happiness. Blue blooms just stand out too much, give me a warm purple instead anyday 😂

I remember Rosa ‘Blue Moon’ which was in the garden of a home we bought in the early 70s. It was a horrible sludgey mauve ... it had been planted between a Super Star and a Fragrant Cloud (much better roses).  I think Parkers or somesuch sold them as a three pack bus the Radio Times or Sunday Express .... 🤔

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Those varieties take me back to leaving school and starting in a garden centre in 1979
