buddleia has woodworm
Hi I have a well established Buddleia Bush, the trunk is around 10 inches in diameter; the problem is it is hollow with tiny holes all over it... i am presuming that it is wood worm that has done this... it is currrently in full bloom but i am concerned that the larger bracches will continue to break off as 2 already have... what should i do?

Hi Tom, I would take cuttings and start growing new trees which will grow rapidly. Buddleia aren't particularly long lived and it does sound on its way out. A 10 inch diameter trunk is impressive - I've never heard of one growing to that size!
