  Peanuts are a no goer in our garden, the sunflower hearts go pretty well, and the birds give much pleasure.

  I put out some peanuts for the first time the other day, they were more popular with the birds than I expected. But t the squirrels cleaned out the feeder by the end of the day.

  If your feeder is on a post do as I did to stop the squirrel, grease the pole, hasn't been back.
