potatoes from previous year.

Hi There, i have in my shed still got 5 bags of maincrop spuds, they are covered but are sprouting, how long can i go on using them?or will i have to dump them? Thanks.

    Rub the sprouts off, keep frost-free but cool, dark and dry.  You can carry on using them until they get too soft and wizened to peel - mashed potato freezes well.  image

    I find that once the skin starts getting wizened they really do need peeling.image
