starting seedlings,

hi iam really wanting to get seedlings going,i'am chomping at the bit,got so many i want to grow,but i will have to rein my self in,any of you started yet.do tell.image

    Then another lot in a couple of weeks ago

    I sowed some that need the winter frost to germinate but apart from that there is no point in starting now, by the time you can plant them out, which will be end of May or even June,depending on where you live,  they will be leggy, need repotting a few times, have you got a warm place with lots of space, to keep them when they are all in big pots.

    Most of mine will be sown in mid March, with the exception of Lobelia which I do in mid Feb, the cosmos even later, nearer to end of March and even sowed some in June for late flowering.

    I'll start next month snapdragons, laurentia,chillies, parsnips.The parsnips I start in kitchen roll tubes then plant them out and put a 4pt milk container over them.image

    I won't start sowing till March and have made a monthly sowing guide for veg, GH, flowers and herbs in the hope that will stop me sowing stuff too early, will be starting with dwarf broad beans, pea's, chillies, peppers and aubergines in March. The first flowers and herbs won't be sown until April.

    Caroline I get kitchen roll tubes fill them with compost put 3 seeds in water put them in a container that will keep them standing up cover them with cling film until they come up put in conservatory no heat.When the roots have reached the bottom plant them outimage
